KaVo Somatic 3 Headrest Pad (Ball Studs on Rear of Pad) and KaVo Somatic 4 Headrest Pad (Sockets on Rear of Pad)
- Variants: KaVo has used various versions of the Somatic headrest pads on its units. In our shop, you will find the most common ones: Somatic 3 and Somatic 4. If you have a different version (Variants 1 and 2 are screwed in) of the KaVo Somatic headrest pad, please contact us. We are also happy to offer you the less common versions of the Somatic headrest pad.
- Selection: On this shop page, you can choose between the KaVo Somatic 3 (with ball studs on the back of the headrest pad) and KaVo Somatic 4 (with sockets on the back of the headrest pad) variants above the color selection.
- Reversible Headrest Pad: What many people don't know: The KaVo Somatic 3 and 4 headrest pads are reversible. Depending on the optimal head position, you can remove them (see disassembly instructions) and reattach them the other way around.

KaVo Somatic 3 Headrest Pad
- With the KaVo Somatic 3, the ball studs are on the back of the headrest pad, and the sockets for the ball studs are on the headrest mount of the dental unit.
- Models with KaVo Somatic 3 headrest pads: KaVo Estetica 1060, 1063, 1065, 1066, 1078, and 1080.
KaVo Somatic 4 Headrest Pad (2-joint or motorized headrest)
- With the KaVo Somatic 4, the sockets for the ball studs are on the back of the headrest pad, and the ball studs are on the headrest mount of the dental unit.
- Models with KaVo Somatic 4 headrest pads: KaVo Estetica 1058, 1065, 1066, 1078, 1080, and Ergo-Motorized: E30, E50, E70, E80, and uniQa.

- Original Manufacturer Colors: Only original manufacturer colors are displayed in our shop. To see the manufacturer name and manufacturer number (if available) for a color, simply select the desired color. This information will then appear below the "ADD ITEM TO CART" button on the "ADD COLOR SAMPLE TO CART" button.
- Important Note on Color Representation: Please note that colors on screens can vary and may look different depending on the light source. We therefore strongly recommend matching the color beforehand. If in doubt, always request free samples via the "ADD COLOR SAMPLE TO CART" button to precisely match the color with your existing upholstery.
Attention! Unfortunately, returns of upholstery manufactured in the wrong color are excluded. - Complete Replacement: If you are replacing the upholstery of an entire dental unit or dental chair, you are flexible in your color choice. You can choose any manufacturer's color or even from our entire current color collection to ensure the new color of your upholstery harmonizes with the color ambiance of your practice rooms.
- Partial Replacement: If only a single piece of upholstery on your dental unit or dental chair is being replaced, an exact color match is crucial. If you know the exact manufacturer's color name, you can order your upholstery directly from the shop. If the color name is unclear, please be sure to request free samples for color matching.

Disassembly of the KaVo Somatic 3 and 4 Headrest Pads
- Carefully lift the headrest pad on one side and release the ball stud from its socket. Do the same for the other three ball studs.
- Important! Do not pull too abruptly, as some plastic sockets may be brittle from age and could break.
Warning! KaVo Somatic 1 and 2 headrest pads (a rare version) are screwed in. If the headrest pad does not lift, you likely have one of these versions. In this case, please contact us and we will be happy to help. - If the sockets in the mounting plate of your dental unit for the Somatic 3 headrest pad with ball studs are already damaged, please contact us. The sockets can be replaced, and we have the correct ones in our product range.
Assembly Instructions for the KaVo Somatic 3 and 4 Headrest Pads
- Align the headrest pad correctly over the mounting counterparts and carefully press it into place.
- Note! The headrest pad is reversible. Depending on the optimal head position, you can insert it with the bolster facing up or down.
