Assembly Instructions: Backrest Upholstery Replacement "Comfort" for KaVo ESTETICA E70 and ESTETICA E80
The backrest upholstery is hooked into the keyhole-shaped mounting eyelets of the chair frame via four rear retaining bolts and is firmly held in position at the bottom by a locking screw.
ATTENTION! It is imperative that you insert the Allen key into the designated opening on the right-hand side. Although there is an identical opening on the left-hand side, there is no screw. Behind it, however, lie sensitive technical components that could be damaged if the tool is pushed through incorrectly!
IMPORTANT! Only unscrew the Allen screw until it is flush with the edge of the frame. Do not unscrew it completely, as repositioning and screwing it back in is extremely difficult in the tight housing.
Step 2: By loosening the locking screw, the locking tab attached to the upholstery is released and the upholstery can be moved. Now press the entire backrest upholstery down firmly but evenly. This causes the four retaining bolts to slide out of the narrow section of the keyhole-shaped mounting eyelets into the wider section. As soon as the bolts are seated in the wide part of the eyelets, the backrest upholstery can easily be removed forwards from the frame.

Step 3: The installation of the new backrest upholstery then takes place in reverse order: Place the upholstery with the four bolts into the wide openings of the eyelets, push it upwards until the locking tab is correctly positioned at the bottom, and fix it again hand-tight with the 4 mm Allen screw from the right-hand side.
