Assembly Instructions: Backrest Upholstery Replacement "Comfort" for KaVo ESTETICA 1065, 1066, 1078, 1080, and 1058CC
The backrest upholstery is hooked into the keyhole-shaped mounting eyelets of the chair frame via four rear retaining bolts and is firmly held in position at the bottom by two locking screws.
IMPORTANT! Only unscrew the Allen screws until they are flush with the edge of the frame. Do not unscrew them completely, as repositioning and screwing them back in is extremely difficult in the tight housing.
Step 2: By loosening the two locking screws, the locking tabs attached to the upholstery are released and the upholstery can be moved. Now press the entire backrest upholstery down firmly but evenly. This causes the four retaining bolts to slide out of the narrow section of the keyhole-shaped mounting eyelets into the wider section. As soon as the bolts are seated in the wide part of the eyelets, the backrest upholstery can easily be removed forwards from the frame.
Supplementary Product Recommendations
Step 3: The installation of the new backrest upholstery then takes place in reverse order: Place the upholstery with the four bolts into the wide openings of the eyelets, push it upwards until the two locking tabs are correctly positioned at the bottom, and fix it again hand-tight with the two 4 mm Allen screws on the underside.
