Upholstery parts that are fixed by clamp springs
- For Sirona dental units, models M1 Model 90/94/96 and Sirona E (seat and backrest upholstery), and C/C+/M1+/ProFeel+ (wide backrest upholstery), snap locks are used to fix the upholstery onto the chair base's upholstery carriers.
- The upholstery is fastened in this system by a clamp lock. The upholstery part has a plug pin that snaps into the snap lock (spring catch) on the dental unit's upholstery receiver when the upholstery is attached.
- ATTENTION! Defective plug pins in the upholstery support cannot be replaced! Therefore, handle with care to avoid damage.
- This snap lock in the dental unit's upholstery receiver can be pre-damaged by incorrect attempts during upholstery installation and must therefore be replaced. A damaged lock leads to an insecure hold of the upholstery.
- The DKL snap locks for screwing into the chair base are an equivalent replacement for the original clamp locks (Manufacturer Part No. 2984318) and ensure a secure and firm fit of your upholstery.
- Replacement is uncomplicated: simply loosen the two screws of the old snap lock on the upholstery base and firmly screw in the new snap locks.
- IMPORTANT: When installing the upholstery, ensure that the plug pins of the upholstery parts are correctly aligned over the snap locks before pressing them in, to avoid deforming or damaging them again. Correct alignment is crucial for the longevity of the lock and the firm hold of the upholstery.
TIP! Order spare clamp springs as a precaution, so you have a replacement if needed.
